Welcome to the MRSA Advice Guide
The development of science especially in the medical sector has brought into the limelight many observations and theories which has made many people aware about all the different types of health hazards which not only causes pain and suffering but proves to be fatal in many cases. All this information is shared so that people can take precautionary measures and live a fit and healthy life. Developments are continuously going on and the latest information that is being given about healthcare is related to a type of bacteria called MRSA.
MRSA which is pronounced as mersa is a kind of bacteria which is mostly found on the skin of every human being. It is a harmless type of bacteria if it does not enter inside the body but as soon as it gets entry in the body it causes many types of infection. The full form of MRSA is Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureas or it is simply called Staph aureus. It cannot be called a disease as these bacteria lives on the skin of every human being like other harmless bacteria which are found thriving on the human body without causing any damage.
Harmful Effects of MRSA
Staph aureus starts its harmful journey when it gets the route through the skin which has broken and opened up due to scratching, wounds or any other way when the skin breaks up. These bacteria are also found in the environment and inhalation of these bacteria can cause pneumonia but these types of cases are very rare as it cannot harm children and healthy people. But the people who have a weak immune system, old people or people who are sick can easily be infected with pneumonia if they inhale these bacteria and catch MRSA.
Staph aureus can be easily controlled by antibiotics which people normally do by using oral antibiotics whenever there is a wound or a deep cut on the skin of a child. But this constant use of antibiotics has led these simple MRSA bacteria to develop immunity towards the effects of antibiotics and it has become hard to kill these bacteria once they enter the body. Due to this people who develop infections have to undergo a lot of pain and suffering as the bacteria kills the tissues of the body which has to be removed through surgery for total cure.
